Zampinomarried Smith in May 1992, and their son, Trey Smith, was born in November 1992. The pair divorced in 1995.
“With Sheree and with Trey, that was a really difficult time,” Smith told his wife Jada on an episode of her showRed Table Talkin 2020. “Divorce was the worst thing in my adult life, divorce was the ultimate failure for me.”
“I’ve been hurt a lot in my adult life, but I don’t think anything touches the failure of getting divorced from my 2-year-old son’s mother,” he added.
Trey turned 30 years old in November 2022— and the whole family, including Jada, wished him a happy birthday on Instagram.

Zampino studied fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and fashion merchandising at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles.

Just not understanding the marital dynamic, like ‘OK, the divorce papers are sent, and people are over it, and this is done.’ "
“Oh, guess what — it ain’t ever done,” Pinkett Smith continued. “So that was my biggest misconception, in that this woman is a part of this family. It’s like not only taking on [Sheree and Will’s son Trey Smith], but Sheree was coming along too as part of the package.”
