Another moment ofWheel of Fortunedisbelief has hit the internet.
Tuesday’s episode of the ABC game saw contestant Megan Carvale’s near miss go viral because some fans wholeheartedly believe she got the right answer — and judges made the wrong call.
Carvale was competing for a chance to win the bonus cash prize during when she tried to find a phrase from the “Living Things” category. With the letters P_N_ _RC_ _ D on the screen, she tried out a few possible answers, including “Pine Orchid" and “Pony Orchid.”
But the moment fans have latched onto was when she also mumbled a word many heard as the correct phrase: Pink Orchid.
“I’m sorry, did she NOT say Pink Orchid the first time? Or am I tripping#wheeloffortune,” one X user wrote,alongside a videoof the moment.
“Ok. Totally a retract,” onecommenter wrote. “I thought she said ‘Pink Orchid’, but she said ‘Something Orchid’ . Literally 14 rewinds. Sorry, lol.”

In the end,Wheel of Fortunedidn’t grant Carvale the win, and though she missed out on $40,000, she did walk away with $14,007 from the earlier portion of the game.
Carvale spoke withGood Morning Americaon Thursday and acknowledged that she hadn’t made the correct guess: “You know, I wish I said ‘pink’ because I would have been $40,000 richer — but I said ‘something.'”
Carvale’s “something/pink” controversy has even stumped her family, including her 8-year-old son. “The whole way home from L.A. [he said], ‘Mom, I can’t believe you didn’t get pink. I can’t believe you didn’t get pink,'” she shared. “That word has already been haunting me and now all of America believes that I said it but I didn’t.”
