Tyler Cameronknows which lady he hopes will find love onThe Golden Bachelor!
The Bachelorettealum chatted with PEOPLE about one of the upcoming series’ most exciting contestants: Patty James, who just so happens to be the mother of formerBachelorMatt James.
Cameron’sbest friend’s70-year-old mom will be one of 22 senior women vying for the heart of 72-year-old widowGerry Turneron the newestBachelorspinoff.
“She doesn’t need my advice,” Cameron, 30, said about Patty at theSpecial Forces: World’s Toughest Testseason 2 press day earlier this month. “She’s got it.”

When asked whether he thought she “was going to go all the way” through the season, the reality star was quick to reiterate his faith in her.
“She’s got it all, Ms. Patty,” he said. He then quipped, “If she doesn’t, it’s just because Gerry can’t keep up with her.”
Patty first appeared in season 25 ofThe Bacheloralongside her son Matt. Per herGolden Bachelorbio, the Durham, North Carolina, realtor has been single for more than 30 years, having divorced her two sons' father when they were young.

“I want to meet someone who loves and cherishes me that I can live out my golden years with,” she shared in apromo clip.

In a 2021interviewonGood Morning America, Matt raved about his mother and also shared that she has some of the same traits he hopes to find in his wife one day. He has been dating his girlfriendRachael Kirkconnellsince they met onThe Bachelorin 2020.
“Just someone who you can experience life together with. Someone who is trustworthy, someone who is themselves, someone who’s caring, honest, compassionate,” he said at the time.
“Everything that she sacrificed for myself and my brother to be in the position that we’re at, I want to be that for somebody else,” he added. “And the way that she loved myself and [my brother] John is how I want to love somebody and how I want to be loved.”
