Producer Sally Woodward Gentle told reporters, “We gave him a pair of Villanelle’s pajamas. They are the ones with the cartoon all over them. She wears them in episodes one and two — they are a little boy’s pajamas which she nicks, and she wears. They have got ‘Kapow!’ And cartoony stuff all over them.”
“They are meant to be worn quite small,” said Woodward Gentle. “But they are adult-sized. We had them made up especially for the show. We had a few made up, and that’s the last pair left.”

Woodward Gentle and costumer designer Phoebe de Gaye revealed that William he told them he was a fan of the show.
“Apparently he has watched it all,” said Woodward Gentle. “We didn’t test him, but he did say it was quite a final ending to series two. So at least he watched the last three minutes of the last episode! He said he loved it. He talked about the dark humor of it, and Jodie and Sandra [Oh, her co-star], how amazing they both are. And he talked about the humor you can get through the costumes, which is what Phoebe [de Gaye] is so clever at.”
de Gaye added: “He said he didn’t quite get it to start with, but then he got into it.”
“They have had a wash!” he joked.

William was also given a hand-knitted Clanger to give to 4-year-oldPrincess Charlotte.
“I’ve made enough clangers, so this will go down extremely well!” he said with a laugh.
William also met the actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, who won a Best Actor BAFTA for his performance in the 2013 film12 Years a Slave.
Ejiofor said: “We were talking about BAFTA, and how incredible an institution it is, and how excited I have been through my career to work with BAFTA.”
