Matthew Gorski and Megan Bailes are married!
The professional baseball player and the fitnessTikTok influencertied the knot in front of 150 guests in Naples, Florida on October 21.
“We chose Naples because our first date was in Naples, we got engaged in Naples, and now we got married in Naples,” Bailes tells PEOPLE. “The venue was gorgeous. We fell in love with the architecture, ballroom, event coordinator, everything about it was our style!”

Décor for the pair’s nuptials incorporated Bailes' favorite color. “If anyone knows me, they know I love pink, bows, and anything girly,” she explains. “We even went with a black-tie optional, pink encouraged theme! We added some gold to our scheme to incorporate the sentimentality of our wedding bands being gold.”
During the reception guests dined on a plated dinner of a green salad, which was designed as a bouquet, plus a duet plate of filet and lobster. For dessert, a four-tier vanilla cake with a confetti mousse with pink and white cascading roses.

At the time, Gorski was at spring training in Bradenton, Florida and Bailes, who graduated from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, was with her family in Naples, Florida. “He drove the two hours to take me to dinner and we didn’t see each other again until May 16th, 2022," she says.
“I spontaneously flew to North Carolina on May 16th where he picked me up from the airport. I walked out of the airport sliding doors, trying to remain calm, but couldn’t keep my composure. I dropped my luggage, ran to him, and jumped into his arms! He asked me to be his girlfriend, and it was the easiest yes, other then when he asked me to marry him!”
Gorski popped the question on December 30, 2022. “He got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever,” says Bailes. “We went back to my parents home in Naples and both of our families were there waiting to celebrate with us.”
For the bride and groom, their nuptials were a dream come true. “My parents gave me the wedding I have been dreaming about since I was a little girl. Everything from my dream wedding dress to gold trim charger plates to a champagne tower, it all felt too good to be true. I feel so unbelievably blessed that my parents would give me a day that Matthew and I will never forget.”
Now as they enjoy every moment of wedded bliss, the newlyweds feel blessed to spend their lives together.
Adds Bailes: We were never meant to do this life alone; so when you find a love as strong as ours, you can’t help but declare it to the world through marriage. I consider myself blessed to have found a love like ours.”
