Miley Cyrusput a twist on a classic.
On Thursday night, the “Flowers” singer, 31, performed a country rendition of Talking Heads' 1977 classic “Psycho Killer” during an intimate set at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.
Infan-captured footageof the performance, Cyrus can be seen wearing a blank tank top and leather pants as she belts out her own take on some of the lyrics of the song.
“If you know this song, this is the regular part,” she told the audience before jumping into the original track’s chorus.
Cyrus' performance of the song last night comes just a month after it was revealed that she would be featured on A24’sStop Making Sensetribute album, titledEveryone’s Getting Involved,perVariety.
Paying homage to Talking Heads' 1984 live album, the record will feature artists including Cyrus,Lorde,Paramore, Girl in Red, The National, Teezo Touchdown, Kevin Abstract and more.
The “Wrecking Ball” artist andDavid Byrnehimself performed together at the start of 2023 during her annual New Year’s Eve special where they sangDavid Bowie’s “Let’s Dance” and Byrne’s “Everybody’s Coming to My House,“perPitchfork.
Last Friday, Cyrus dropped hernew single “Doctor (Work It Out)“withPharrell Williams, who helped produce some of the music on her 2013 albumBangerz.
In the music video for her the collab, the actor/singer is seen against a super-simple backdrop and lets her lyrics, dance moves, wardrobe and big hair take center stage.
Ahead of the song’s release, Cyrusshared a snippetof “Doctor (Work It Out),” on Instagram.
“Doctor (Work It Out) OUT NOW@pharrell,” Cyrus’ caption read in the joint post with Williams, 50, who produced the track.

“Let me work it out/hey, ooh/Let me work it out/yeah/Let little mama work it out/oh, ooh, ooh/Wanna work it out/Mmm (wanna work it out),” she sang in the video while moving her shoulders and arms to the beat.
Cyrus also shared photos from the new video on her Instagram Story leading up to the single’s release.
