Mark Ballasand wifeBC Jeanare sharing a vulnerable song about a hard period in their lives.
On Friday, the couple released a music video to their band, Alexander Jean’s social media platforms, sharing their latest single “Rainbow,” which reflects on a pregnancy loss the couple experienced last year.
The caption concludes, “This song is for anyone that has experienced loss in any form, We hope it brings whoever listens some kind of peace & reminds you that a rainbow isn’t far behind.”

The lyric video that goes along with the song shows Jean, 36, singing in an oversized coat while showing off her bump. The recently retiredDancing with the Starspro, 37, who moved on from the series earlier this year, plays guitar.
“Life Lately ☀️,” they captioned a Reel, which showed recent adventures from beach days to a Disneyland trip, ending with their biggest project to date.
“Lately we’ve been…making new music, making birthday wishes, went to Disneyland, made more music stuff, turned off our phones and went to the beach, car rides with our best mate, Boba tea, made more music,” the Reel read.
“Also,” it continued, “we’ve been making…. a tiny human.”
The couple first met “at a singer-songwriter night at a mutual friend’s house,” JeantoldRiff Magazine. “It was kind of like a fun party night where singers and musicians would get up and perform.”
After the event, the two exchanged numbers and eventually started dating in 2012. The couple laterannounced their engagementin January 2016 andtied the knot that November.
