Jessie J Performs At The Royal Albert Hall

Jessie Jis urging her fans to find their own happiness and tackle mental health struggles head-on.

The “Bang Bang” singer shared a lengthy post to Instagram Saturday admitting that she has “weird emotional days” in which she can’t stop her tears.

“This video is from yesterday. I woke up. Feeling kinda off. I sat at the piano (which I’ve been avoiding) knowing it will bring some stuff up,” she wrote. “I’m making it up and feeling my real feelings… I didn’t know I would cry… But it’s important to be open that we are not always done up and feeling 100. All of us have our days. Yesterday was one of my weird emotional days.”

The message accompanied a video in which a makeup-free Jessie, 30, sat at a piano playing and singing.

At times, she stumbled through the notes and broke down in tears, at one point turning to the camera to say, “Music, man.”

The song’s lyrics included lines like, “I know you’re watching/Somewhere in the sky/I look over your children/’Cause I know you would’ve looked over mine.”

Her message continued, explaining that younger people must be taught to embrace openness and vulnerability.

“In a time and a world…where sadly vulnerability is often seen as weakness where the younger generation are almost being taught to hide their real feelings behind a perfected edited image,” she wrote. “Hence why anxiety and depression in kids is through the roof and only carries to their adult life if it doesn’t change… We push our feelings to the bottom of our energy and hope it goes away. It won’t. Don’t define yourself on it. But stand with it, process it and learn from it. Find YOUR happiness.”

The British star added that she does not want to be a role model for fans, but instead wants to inspire.

“TALK to people you love when you are down,” she wrote. “Please do not suffer in silence. Life is way too short and ALWAYS GETS BETTER. I’m thinking of you and sending love to your heart.”

The post was met with support from stars like Wiz Khalifa, who commented a blue heart emoji, and singer Natasha Bedingfield, who wrote, “Love u.”

“Starting my new year with some unexpected heavy personal stuff has only made me want to be more present in my life,” she wrote in a long message on Twitter and Instagram. “Spending more real time with people I love and some time with myself. When sadness hits, it’s important we embrace it, so it doesn’t define us. And it’s for sure surfaced some emotions and things I needed to work on with all my attention and love.”

The step back came as the “Price Tag” singer mourned the loss of her longtime bodyguard, Dave.

The star previously shared a touching series of tributes to Dave on social media in which she referred to him as “family.”
