The multi-hyphenate had fans buzzing about the dress after she wrote in herOn the JLonewsletter that shegot married in a “dress from an old movie.”
In avideo interview withVarietyposted on Tuesday, Lopez told fans that it wasn’t the same wedding dress she wore in 2004’sJersey Girl, as some had speculated, or any of her previous films.
“No, that’s not true,” the 54-year-old told the outlet. “I wish it was. I wish I did have that dress. I don’t have that dress. No, this was a different dress that I had.”

Lopez explained that she had different wedding dresses at home after working onMarry MeandShotgun Wedding.
“Believe it or not, I was doing so much press forMarry MeorShotgun Weddingor one of those, so I had all these wedding dresses in my house. And when we, at the spur of the moment, decided to get married that day, I just had a dress,” she said. “It’s not from a movie. I never wore it in a movie.”

“It’s been the perfect time to focus on a new album. She’s loved creating new music. She’s very excited [about] it. Ben’s proud of her. He’s her biggest fan. He loves how hard working and focused she is,” the source told PEOPLE.
“I was like, ‘I don’t write, I don’t do this.’ He was like, ‘You do, you write, you direct, you produce, you choreograph, you do all the things. Start stepping into that, start owning a little bit of who you are,’” she recalled her husband telling her.
