Entertainment Weekly ’s Marc Bernadin pick up ona little - notice commentary from comics historian Peter Sandersonabout the literal impact of the WGA writers coin to inquire “ What about the San Diego Comic - Con ? ”
He writes :
Comic - Con is gon na get mosh this year , one way or the other . Even if the ten-strike is over by the third calendar week of July , the TV time of year ’s inject to hell and if production does n’t start out toot mellifluous , next time of year will keep abreast suit . And telecasting is a big part of what pushes the medium stuff at Comic - Con : Heroes , Battlestar Galactica , Lost — even perennials like Babylon 5 and Buck Rogers still draw low crowds . But what would Comic - Con attend like without the casts and bunch of flicks like Harry Potter & the Half - Blood Prince , Watchmen , Star Trek , The Day the Earth Stood Still , The Spirit , The Wolfman , Land of the Lost , and G.I. Joe — all of which could be expected to strut their clobber in San Diego ?

The most obvious answer may be “ It might face less overwhelming and full of starfuckers , ” but it may be a moot point ; even if the writers strike is still in event in July , there will still be completed summertime smash hit to advertize – Three of them adapt from funny record book , even – and if the cancellation of the seventies Incredible Hulk show is n’t enough to keep Lou Ferrigno from attend the con every class , the impermanent hiatus of display like Lost and Battlestar Galactica is very unlikely to keep star and fan of the show from showing up . If nothing else , the delay may admit God Almighty of NBC ’s Bionic Woman time to beg fans to give the show another chance .
To heck with awarding shows … How will the hit affect Comic - Con[EW ]
