Donald Trump’s older sister, Maryanne Trump Barry, is dead at the age of 86, outlets includingThe New York Timesreport.

Barry, who was a senior judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals until 2019, was found in her Fifth Avenue apartment at about 4 a.m. on Monday,ABC Newsreports, citing sources who said there were no signs of trauma or foul play.

Sheretired from the benchamid an investigation into whether she and her father, Fred Trump, and siblings had engaged in alleged fraudulent tax and financial transactions. The investigation was ultimately closed.

The former president’s youngest brother Robert Trumpdied in August 2020at 71 years old. His other brother, Fred Trump Jr., died of a heart attack in September 1981 at the age of 42. Trump also has an 81-year-old sister, Elizabeth Trump Grau.

Barry made headlines in 2020 when her niece,Mary Trump, released secretly-recorded audio in which she harshly criticized her brother.

The audio came from conversations that were secretly recorded in 2018 and 2019.

“All he wants to do is appeal to his base,” Barry said in one recording. “He has no principles. None. None. And his base, I mean my God, if you were a religious person, you want to help people. Not do this.”

“His g——- tweet and lying, oh my God,” she added. “I’m talking too freely, but you know. The change of stories. The lack of preparation. The lying. Holy s—.”

In another of her recordings, Barry spoke about her brother’s strict immigration policies. “It’s the phoniness of it all. It’s the phoniness and this cruelty. Donald is cruel,” she said.

Barry also claimed in the recordings that the president did not take his college entrance exams on his own — which Mary similarly claimed in her memoir without at first revealing the source of that allegation.(The Trump administrationhas denied the claimand called Mary’s account “absurd.")

“He got into University of Pennsylvania because he had somebody take the exams,” Barry said. “SATs or whatever. That’s what I believe.”
