Well , gall not , rooter of Ghostbusters . verbalize toThe Hollywood Reporter , Afterlife cobalt - superstar Finn Wolfhard made a point to explicate that the drone does n’t quite do the movie justice . “ The house trailer only showed some of it , but it ’s a Ghostbusters movie . So , it ’s a really risible film , ” he say . “ Every view has comedy in it . I ’m excited for masses to see more of the humor in the movie . ”
In Afterlife , Wolfhard ( advantageously known for Stranger Things and It ) plays Trevor , the son of Callie ( Carrie Coon ) and brother of Phoebe ( McKenna Grace ) , who are probably all related to original Ghostbusters fibre Egon Spengler . With many trailer , television spots , interview , and more to follow before the July release of Afterlife , eventually it ’s take a hop to become very clear what tone this movie is going to take , as well as more hints about its narration . For now , though , we ’ll have to take Wolfhard ’s word that co - writer and film director Jason Reitman really nails what crap Ghostbusters “ Ghostbusters . ”
