“From sword swallowing to surviving venomous creature stings, and from feats of athleticism to kissing king cobras,David Blaine Do Not Attempt, uncovers the rituals, preparation and strength that take magic beyond mere illusion,” the synopsis continues.

The trailer begins with Blaine standing on a bridge, just moments before he’s lit on fire.

“I’m searching for people with amazing abilities that I know I won’t find anywhere else in the world,” he continues as scenes of people jumping belly first into shards of glass and breaking bottles on their heads play on screen. “… Who will teach me things that I didn’t even know were possible.”

“Things that you shouldn’t do, and anything can go wrong,” Blaine adds, before the trailer transitions into a shot of him hanging off a speeding car on a race track.

The series has the performer do incredible but “unexpected” stunts, including jumping off cliffs into icy waters, swimming with sea snakes and grabbing flames to ignite his head.

“I know that I’ll regret it if I don’t at least give it a try,” he says as he sticks a knife in his nose.

In another scene, a street performer sticks a thin blade through his throat and out the back of his neck. The next shot sees Blaine cover himself with bees and shake them off.

“You just have to remove every, like, limitations in your mind to be able to overcome,” one guide says.

After Blaine lies on his back to host what seems to be over 50 scorpions on his face and torso, he tells cameras, “It will be the most intense journey of my life.”
