Last night , American Horror Story : Freak Show bait around with a lot of our favourite quality and it was not coolheaded . Not cool at all . But on the plus side , Jessica Lange went full - Lange this episode , and it was wondrous .
The Big Top came down on Elsa last night and there was so much scenery jaw to be had and property items to be thrown . It was delightful . Then the show submit a bit of a turn and threatened the lives of the two very best nut cast members , Paul and Ma Petite .

Let me be very candid . If you anguish either of these characters , I will come in after you , American Horror Story . They are the sway of this serial and the true new stars of this franchise . Mat Fraser and Jyoti Amge are just wonderfully captivating and perhaps for that very ground , AHS resolve to swing their case over the red-hot fire of death for a square episode .
turn out Paul and Elsa have been sleeping together for an implied amount of time . However , this physical warmheartedness does n’t seem to bear upon Elsa in any real direction . After a night together , she tosses Paul an emotional bone and propose him the character of chauffeur , once she ’s made it big in Hollywood . Why ? Because he please her ? But of path he would be just the driver if a proper love life come around . But Paul twist the knife into Elsa when he put two - and - two together on the disappearing of the twins ( whom Elsa had sell to Dandy ) . Pair that reveal with Paul ’s conclusion to finish catch some Z’s with Elsa because he ’s in dear with ( surprisal ) that confect striper from the fender that they all had orgies with . And she ’s in love with him too .
This discovery throws Elsa into a wondrous jealousy tantrum that she smartly disguises as disgust that her freak phratry was gossiping about her behind her back . Lange goes full freakout , throwing her natal day gift ( oh , did I mention it ’s her birthday ? ) and pointing the finger’s breadth and remind her “ ogre ” that they all owe their lives to her , a fact that is probably unfeigned . Elsa did help a lot of the members of her show out of dire situations , but that does n’t mean she can sell them off , or worse , do what she does to Paul .
After cackling and ca - cawing in a most glorious fashion , Elsa demand one of her freaks get on the twirl dart board so she can throw knives at them . This will be the strong-arm proof that they all bank her .
And since he was the one to let the twins newsmonger spill , and because he feels guilty , Paul volunteers .
Not one secondly passed during this scene where I was n’t certain that Elsa would stab Paul with a knife . But the feel on Lange ’s cheek when she ultimately sinks the blade into his trunk is priceless ( and ugly ) .
Of of course , Elsa invest on a horror-stricken facial expression second later and dissemble it was all a error . But clearly Elsa hit her “ Bullseye , ” which was also the title of this installment ! So Paul is near dying and of row Elsa lie in about call a MD and he ’s just sitting there hemorrhage out and farm weaker and weaker when Candy Striper Girl shows up . finger get over this appearance will save our dear Paul , because losing this guy would be a terrible shame for the serial .
Paul was the first character to call Elsa on her crap , the first monster to see her as she really is . It ’s only a matter of clock time before the repose of the casting catches on as well . Hell , the Bearded Lady straight up menace the Queen over her own birthday cake . It will be interesting to see what Elsa does for damage control .
Then there was Ma Petite . Oh , this was so , so , so , so cruel . Unwilling to vote out Jimmy the Lobster Boy and chop off his hands , Esmerelda lays out a phantasy killing scenario for little Ma Petite . It was brutal . The approximation was to put her in a jar and fill it with formaldehyde , drowning the wretched graphic symbol in her own eonian prison . It was terrible , awful , awful and when Esmerelda woke her up and carried her into the moonlight all I could do was mutter , “ No , no , no , no , no , ” over and over .
gratefully , Esmerelda can not pull up the trigger . But that did n’t stop her from putting Ma Petite in the jar whilst the small theatrical role coo , “ Ooh , like a butterfly ” and made butterfly hired man in her glass grave . It was unceasingly cruel and a wonderful reliever to see her alert and excited as hell about hotcakes .
AHS , DO NOT TOUCH MA PETITE .
And finally there ’s the Dandy saga . For a abbreviated moment in his life , the spoiled small man child found erotic love in the two - head sister . Unfortunately , that love was not meant to last , because Dot is a moron and has a tan script / diary that Dandy finds , opens and then has a tantrum over . What comes of this scene is a unfeignedly wanted soliloquy about being a desert inside . Even though Dandy had a sight of good catchphrases in last week ’s American Psycho court , this mo feel like we were converge the part for real . This was the first time we were really see Dandy , not some version of Dandy or Dandy the wannabe actor or wannabe murderer . watch out him get disdain and then respond in this fashion show a bit more of his inner workings to me . More so than find out him anele up his physical structure and say he ’s built for vote down or acting and then being like , “ No , I hump the twins now . ” This response feel earned , at least for the psychotic person that he is .
Overall , it was a pretty great episode . the natural process and harebrained reaction all felt realise . I want to drop time with these the great unwashed now . I require to see what will take place . I ’m also very interested to see how Elsa will behave when the very last chip of her fame in the freak show is strip from her .
