The first teaser trailer forAmazon ’s adaptationof The Boys is here and , as you may see from the photo , it ’s get a bit of an attitude .
In the show , base on the Garth Ennis / Darick Robertsoncomics , superheroes are celebrities . They apply their magnate for proficient , but are also well - paid for it , and that creates all kinds of honourable and moral dilemmas . move into the Boys , a group that aims to bring down corrupt superheroes .
Like another Ennis comedian , Preacher , the adaptation of The Boys is produced by Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg . It ’ll debut on Amazon Prime next twelvemonth and here ’s the first tease . I think it sets the leg for the show quite well .
This is a different , cynical look at the superhero musical genre that hopefully can live up to its promise . The first coquette decidedly makes it seem possible .
And if you still require some convincing , at The Boys ’ New York Comic Con instrument panel , Simon Pegg crashed the festivities to announce thathe ’s amaze a small role on the show . He ’s playing the don of Wee Hughie , played by Jack Quaid . And while that vocalise random , it ’s really glorious because Hughiewas inspired by and string to look exactly likeSimon Pegg — and when The Boys was going to be a movie , Pegg was rumored to be play the persona . That was almost a decade ago , so now he ’s perplex the next best affair .
